Feature-length fiction

synopsis

The Bellatrix leaves port at night, with four men on board, including Jacques, a young aspiring officer haunted by the memory of Ana. As he adjusts to life at sea and gets to know the crew, Jacques discovers that someone has been reading his diary, in which he confides his thoughts about Ana. The mystery deepens when, one night, the captain tells him about a woman he once passionately loved, evoking disturbing details that recall the story of Jacques and Ana. Little by little, Jacques believes that these men, isolated for years, are trying to appropriate his memories to fill their solitude. Between fascination and rivalry, Jacques realizes that the captain, aging and almost blind, sees in himself a reflection of the man he once was, rekindling a strange and conflicted bond around the figure of Ana.
