Thirty-year-old Sandrine is forced to move back in with her mother in Roubaix. Unemployed, she agrees to work for her uncle in a kennel that turns out to be the hub of a dog trade from Eastern Europe. She quickly acquires authority and respect in this male-dominated environment, and earns the money she needs for her freedom. But sometimes good soldiers stop obeying.
