Antoni Farrazzi, a seasonal lift maintenance worker, is called to the resort of Nivance, which is run by a certain Matthias, who supports the resort's reputation through subterfuge. Antoni finds Josefa, an amnesiac who lives with Matthias and whom he once knew as a child.
