A disgraced British politician is appointed European Commissioner for Industry and sent to Brussels. There, thanks to anonymous letters, he discovers the existence of a vast network of political and industrial corruption. Although his past is marked by dubious compromises, he decides to take up the challenge of opposing the dark forces responsible for these practices.
