Le Dossier B is a filmed investigation that mixes journalism, history and detective fiction, on the "bruxellisation", i.e. the progressive destruction of Brussels' architectural heritage. Based on a book published in 1960 (now impossible to find), it tells the story of a secret sect of politicians and architects determined to demolish the city and create a utopian city, with a colossal Palais de Justice concealing an initiation course. Somewhere between documentary and fiction, the film combines archive footage, reconstructions, real-life testimonies and actors, photomontages and illustrations to explore this fascinating story.
A coproduction of Saga Film (Belgium), RTBF (Belgian television), Intérieur Nuit, Centre de l'Audiovisuel à Bruxelles (CBA), Cinemaker Oy. With the participation of the Ministère de la Communauté Française de Belgique, Arte Belgique, BRTN, the French Ministère de l'Equipement, des Transports et du Tourisme. With the support of the 16/9 action plan of the European Union, the Commission Communautaire Française (COCOF) and the Loterie Nationale.
