Hubert Toint is an independent Belgian director-producer. In 1987, he founded Saga Film, which to date has produced over fifty feature films, around a hundred TV movies and as many documentaries. In 2011, he founded Saga Flanders. From 2021 to 2025, he will work with Mark Denessen at the Belgian production company Ginger Pictures. Hubert Toint played a key role in the creation and success of several other companies, including Polaris Films Production in Paris and Imagine Films Distribution in Brussels, which subsequently developed independently. He has chaired various associations (including ARPF, AJC and, since 2018, ARPi), as well as Cinergie.be for over 12 years, and was responsible for the European cinema promotion and information website Cineuropa.org for over 10 years. As a director, after numerous commissioned films and 3 shorts, in 2014 he directed his first feature film, "Mirage d'Amour", written by Bernard Giraudeau, starring Marie Gillain, Eduardo Pacheco and Jean-François Stévenin. He describes himself as a "film worker" and particularly enjoys seeing projects come to life.
Flavia Biurrun is a Belgian-Uruguayan film producer. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communications from the University of Montevideo, where she also studied Economics. A lifelong cinema enthusiast, her eclectic background in communications, digital marketing, economics, writing, acting and casting naturally led her to production, combining creativity and management. She is currently producer and co-head of development at Saga Film. Born in Uruguay and living in Belgium for over ten years, she is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Flavia Biurrun is a member of the European Producers Club and the European Women's Network. She is also an alumna of the U.S. State Department's Fulbright SUSI program, EAVE Puentes, and the ACE Producers Training Days NL workshop.
After studying at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) and the National Film School (UK), Michel Houdmont started out as general manager at Dream Factory before turning to the production of commercials and music videos for Videocam. He was also production manager on Eric De Kuyper's feature film "A Strange Love Affair". In 1989, he founded his own production company, Signature Films, with which he produced and co-produced numerous projects, including the documentary series "Paper Heroes", the fiction series "Kuchnia Polska" directed by Jacek Bromski, and the feature films "Lijmen" by Robbe De Hert and "Hop" by Dominique Standaert. As a participant in Polygram Filmed Entertainment's FASTLANE program (London, L.A.), dedicated to training producers in production strategies for the global market, Michel Houdmont specializes in international financing. A driving force behind the adoption of Belgium's Tax Shelter law, Michel now focuses on project financing. Notable collaborations include Ben Sombogaart's "Crusade in Jeans", Bille August's "Goodbye Bafana" and Christophe Van Rompaey's "Moscow, Belgium". Since 2006, Michel has been teaching production and supervising writing workshops at IAD. In 2012, he joined Saga Film, where he collaborates on the development of feature films and series.
Ophélie Poelmans graduated with honors from the Haute École Libre de Bruxelles (HELB - Ilya Prigogine, cinema section) in 2021, with a bachelor's degree in Film Production and Assistant Director, and from the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD - production section) in 2023, with a master's degree in Film Production Management. After graduating from high school with a major in Economics, she decided to discover the world of cinema and writing, by studying directing. As her first experiences and discoveries unfolded, she was instinctively redirected towards the field of film production, keen to delve deeper into the position of Production Manager. During her studies, she had the opportunity to work as a production intern for companies such as Studio L' Équipe, Matching Socks Ventures and Roue Libre Productions. Subsequently, she worked in various production positions, assistant directing and stage management, for No Mad Services, Matching Socks Ventures, Artemis Productions and also in television for program recordings produced by Fremantle Media and Butterfish. In October 2023, she joined the Saga Film team as a production assistant, eager to discover the field of office production. The position of production administrator soon became a real revelation for her.
After studying Broadcasting in San Francisco and a Master's degree in editing at ESCAC in Barcelona, Clara enriched her career with training in audiovisual production administration. Now a trainee production assistant at Saga Film, she juggles planning, logistics and creativity with energy and good humor. A true Spanish globetrotter with a passion for cinema, music, photography and travel, Clara is fluent in Spanish, French and English. Even when the schedule calls for her own comedy, she keeps her cool with a smile.
